An exploration of home and family. After being so far from my home, Miami, I realized how much I wanted to document it every chance I could. Its focus is on those passing moments. The ones where a second of silence or calm flashes across someone's face. Or the moment just as short of explosive emotion. This idea of capturing the "soon this feeling will pass as quickly as it came" moment that encapsulates home and all my memories of it as well. Given everything that has happened in the last year, this series of images has become increasingly more difficult to capture. Because of COVID-19, I have not been able to travel back home, and in turn, these captured moments have become even more important to me. The idea of capturing our loved ones in these quiet and ever-fleeting moments has never been more important.
